About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as part of the second line of defense, strengthening the Governance, Risk, and Compliance framework applied to foreign exchange operations and products.
  • Conduct regulatory, operational, and compliance risk assessments.
  • Map processes, identify risks and vulnerabilities, and propose preventive and detective controls.
  • Prepare and maintain risk and control matrices, risk assessments, key risk indicators, and monitoring tools.
  • Assess the adequacy, design, execution, and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Plan, perform, or support control testing, documenting scope, evidence, results, deviations, and recommendations.
  • Identify gaps in adherence to internal and external standards and propose remediation and mitigation measures.
  • Prepare and monitor action plans arising from control deficiencies, audits, regulatory inspections, and operational incidents.
  • Monitor deadlines, owners, completion evidence, and the effectiveness of remediation actions.
  • Support regulatory projects and initiatives to enhance governance, risk management, and the control environment.
  • Prepare analyses, presentations, metrics, and management reports for the Executive Board, Audit teams, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support AML/CFT, KYC, due diligence, and assessment of domestic and international counterparties and partners.
  • Partner with business and support functions to promote a culture of risk management, controls, and compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Law, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange products and operations, including spot FX, international remittances, cross-border payments and receipts, and relationships with international counterparties.
  • Knowledge of Brazilian Central Bank regulations applicable to the foreign exchange market and international capital flows.
  • Experience preparing risk and control matrices, conducting control testing, developing action plans, and preparing management reports.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, metric development, and control automation.
  • Preferred: knowledge of financial market regulations, particularly foreign exchange, AML/CFT, KYC, and regulatory reporting.
  • Preferred: experience with due diligence and the assessment of domestic and international counterparties, partners, or correspondents.
  • Preferred: English proficiency for reading and interpreting technical and regulatory documents and interacting with international partners and counterparties.
