About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development, review, update, and validation of credit policies and rules in decision engines.
- Help ensure the proper execution of approval, origination, and credit-limit strategies.
- Extract, organize, and analyze databases to monitor key portfolio risk and performance indicators.
- Monitor indicators such as vintage, delinquency, overdue rates, roll rates, approval rates, and profitability/LPA.
- Support the preparation of studies and simulations to assess the impact of changes to credit policies on revenue, risk, and loan-loss provisions (PDD).
- Conduct analyses using concepts from statistics, financial mathematics, and credit fundamentals.
- Identify opportunities to improve policies and processes based on data analysis and portfolio results.
- Consolidate analyses and diagnoses into executive reports and presentations, translating data into clear insights to support decision-making.
- Partner with the Credit, Risk, Data, Business, and Technology teams to advance credit strategies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience, including internships, in data analysis, credit, risk, finance, business intelligence, or analytical functions—preferably in financial services, banking, or fintech.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Basic knowledge of descriptive statistics and financial mathematics, including interest, margin, delinquency, and loan-loss provisions (PDD).
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly.
- Knowledge of Python or R applied to data analysis is a plus.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the credit lifecycle, from origination through portfolio management and collections, is a plus.
- Experience with credit policies, decision engines, or origination strategies is a plus.
- Experience in financial services, banking, or fintech is a plus.
