About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables, milestones, and action tracking across multiple organizations
  • Serve as a central coordination point between facility personnel, programmatic customers, technical teams, and other stakeholders
  • Support operational readiness planning and execution for technical and regulated facility operations
  • Participate in facility and area walkdowns to evaluate field conditions, operational needs, and readiness
  • Support internal assessments, external audits, workplace observations, and corrective actions
  • Track project and operational actions through completion and communicate status, risks, and outstanding needs
  • Gather technical information from subject matter experts and translate requirements into plans, procedures, communications, and controlled documentation
  • Analyze operational information and develop accurate, actionable work products to support decision-making and execution
  • Research and implement practices related to operational readiness, process improvement, and procedure development
  • Ensure work products align with applicable DOE requirements, organizational procedures, and institutional standards
  • Develop written, verbal, and visual communications to support facility and program objectives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management
  • Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
  • Experience supporting work in an operational, technical, regulated, or compliance-driven environment
  • Experience coordinating project activities, schedules, deliverables, assessments, and action tracking across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience participating in or supporting facility walkdowns, workplace observations, assessments, or other field-based activities
  • Ability to understand and apply organizational policies, procedures, and institutional requirements
  • Strong stakeholder coordination, interpersonal, and customer-service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Ability to analyze technical or operational information and translate it into clear, accurate, and actionable work products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Preferred: Experience with DOE Orders and LANL procedures related to nuclear facility operations
  • Preferred: Experience developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules
  • Preferred: Experience with LANL business systems, including Oracle, UTrain, or PDMLink
  • Preferred: Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma
  • Preferred: Active DOE Q Clearance
