About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and lead the AI security strategy and standards across the AI/ML lifecycle
  • Identify and mitigate AI-specific risks, including model abuse, prompt injection, data leakage, and model theft
  • Embed security and governance into AI development, deployment, and third-party usage
  • Partner with engineering, risk, and business teams to operationalize secure AI practices
  • Conduct threat modeling, control validation, and continuous monitoring aligned with regulatory and enterprise risk frameworks
  • Define security requirements and document traceability between controls, risks, and governance frameworks
  • Monitor internal and external information security trends
  • Keep leadership informed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity
  • At least 2 years focused on cyber assessment of Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning systems
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI/Large Language Models
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATLAS, OWASP Top 10 for LLM and GenAI, and NIST AI RMF
  • Strong understanding of AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML models, data dependencies, model lifecycle, and common AI risks
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats, controls, and technologies
  • Experience with software developer experiences and applying cybersecurity concepts practically
  • Experience evaluating cybersecurity controls and providing guidance for cloud or distributed computing platforms, including Cloud and PaaS
  • Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to bring together senior business and technology stakeholders and reach consensus
  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions
  • Ability to design, architect, analyze, support, and secure cloud-based workloads
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is desired
