About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage data incidents end-to-end, including assessment, containment, resolution, and post-production review
- Classify, prioritize, and document incidents according to policies and regulatory requirements
- Determine root causes and document business requirements
- Collaborate with upstream data providers and technology teams to develop and test solutions
- Coordinate incident response, communications, and escalations
- Perform quality assurance throughout the incident lifecycle
- Resolve incidents within service-level agreements
- Use Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Excel, and other analytics tools to identify data issues and quantify impacts
- Build market-product and use-case knowledge to anticipate and address questions and issues
- Evaluate processes, identify and mitigate data risks, and simplify or automate workflows
- Maintain robust process documentation
- Support change agendas and Operational Excellence initiatives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data incident reporting
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and leadership
- Facilitate post-incident reviews and share findings and lessons learned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commerce graduate/Finance Postgraduates
- 2-5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of incident management frameworks and methodologies
- Product knowledge of Banking & Securities and basic understanding of regulatory reports for a global bank
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
- Advanced Excel
- Basic SQL
- Tableau and Alteryx for data analysis
- High level of ownership and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to excel and influence in a cross-functional team structure
- Flexibility and good negotiation skills
- Exposure to emerging technologies such as UiPath
- Willingness to take on initiatives
- Ability to work a 9-hour shift between 11 AM and 11 PM
