About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team to grow a commercial banking portfolio, increase market share, and deliver top-notch client service
- Serve as an external bank ambassador to the business community within a particular geographic area
- Create and execute market strategy
- Develop client manager talent
- Attend client meetings and events with the market leadership team
- Oversee overall team performance
- Connect groups across the bank to deliver a seamless experience for clients and prospects
- Manage Relationship Managers and enhance team performance using data and metrics
- Recruit, coach, and develop team members
- Drive responsible growth, retention/acquisition, and exceptional service for clients with annual revenues up to $50 million
- Oversee team activity and coordinate deal pipelines
- Facilitate hand-offs between client team members and improve client management processes
- Strategically allocate market resources, including credit products, treasury solutions, and sales support
- Partner with product specialists and cross-Line-of-Business leaders and support partners
- Lead company-wide projects or initiatives to achieve business outcomes and increase national market share
- Drive digital adoption and use of new technology
- Manage accountability and monitor performance data and metrics
- Champion inclusion, process and data optimization, enterprise communication, risk management, coaching, financial stewardship, talent succession, and business outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience
- Established leader with strong interpersonal skills, polish, and executive presence
- Ability to forge strong partnerships with credibility
- Experience managing talent selection, development, coaching, and/or exits
- Strong credit skills
- Ability to drive business in partnership with client teams in the $1-$50MM+ segment
- Core Treasury knowledge
- Proactive, aggressive approach in managing a business
- Ability to garner credibility immediately
- Ability to drive accountability through a disciplined performance coaching process
- Ability to make tough business and people decisions
- Ability to build and leverage internal and external partnerships to generate leads/referrals
