About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide comprehensive financial solutions to businesses with annual revenues up to $20 million
  • Actively manage and deepen relationships with high-value and opportunity clients
  • Support profitability growth of the business banking customer base
  • Identify, develop, and drive results
  • Acquire new client opportunities through prospecting, networking, and developing external referral sources
  • Open core business accounts while adhering to procedural guidelines
  • Manage the end-to-end client journey to meet client needs, drive sales opportunities, and mitigate risk
  • Identify and refer specialized small business opportunities and solutions
  • Conduct small business relationship reviews
  • Deliver a branded customer experience while spending a minimum of 80% of time in the field
  • Foster relationships with Merchant, Practice Solutions, Treasury, and Business Banking partners
  • Advise small business owners on solutions, services, and digital capabilities using credit knowledge
  • Support execution of the sales delivery model for the bank’s Small Business segment
  • Coach, develop, guide, and provide feedback to associates and clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven success in consultative sales in financial services and/or business-to-business sales
  • Demonstrated success improving business financial outcomes by interpreting financial statements and recommending specific levers
  • Passion for outside sales and prospecting
  • Motivation to enhance existing relationships and exceed sales goals
  • Ability to analyze clients’ financial conditions and industry trends
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to partner and negotiate with bank employees to solve client issues
  • Demonstrated management of a client portfolio focused on relationship development and deepening
  • Thorough knowledge of small business financial products and services
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and other banking systems
  • Community leadership experience
  • Strong computer skills and ability to multitask in a demanding environment
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics or related field or seven years of relevant work experience (desired)
