About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business or Enterprise Control Function
  • Provide analytical and administrative support for LOB- or ECF-specific processes and tools
  • Conduct independent quality reviews for Wealth Management Legal Order Operations
  • Evaluate completed work, identify defects and process gaps, and provide actionable feedback
  • Comply with controls and Quality Assurance practices for WMO Legal Order
  • Conduct and coordinate quality inspection reviews to enhance employee performance and control effectiveness
  • Execute QA activities, manage cases, and report results
  • Identify potential procedural updates, test script updates, and data discrepancies
  • Document defects, evidence packages, and quality findings
  • Complete evaluations within required service levels
  • Provide quality results to support business coaching
  • Partner with business stakeholders, leadership, and quality teams to drive consistent quality standards
  • Assess risk and control environment design and effectiveness
  • Gather and organize data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation
  • Support operational research for regulatory exams, internal audits, monitoring, and inspection reviews
  • Capture inspection metrics and support governance dashboard reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience supporting Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith (MLPF) and Private Bank (PB) operations, or equivalent experience in wealth management, private banking, investment advisory, brokerage, or related financial services environments
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance with experience in performing case and transaction reviews, measuring adherence to quality standards and reporting results
  • Experience identifying root causes of defects or errors and providing actionable feedback to improve quality and performance
  • Demonstrated experience managing caseloads in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing work to meet established service level agreements and business objectives
  • Proven track record delivering quality reviews with high accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to established policies, procedures, and control standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to document findings, deliver feedback, and present quality, risk, and control-related information clearly and accurately
