About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide client service support to multiple Financial Advisors
- Support enterprise strategic objectives, operational excellence goals, and client advocacy within Financial Advisors' businesses
- Customize solutions based on client and advisor needs
- Serve as the frequent point of contact within Merrill for client service needs
- Act as a resource for Financial Advisors on the team
- Progress through the Advisor Development Program toward becoming a Financial Advisor
- Develop a book of business to meet and exceed established performance hurdles
- Prioritize and source prospective clients, capitalize on referrals, assess customer needs, refer customers to internal specialists, and execute customized solutions
- Recommend suitable investment products and services based on objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile, and preferences
- Balance investment growth, referral activities, customer follow-up, prospect building, administrative compliance, and personal development
- Organize and manage time, people, and budget to run a productive practice
- Seek specialist expertise to identify client planning and investment strategies
- Complete mandated training, assessments, performance goals, and continuing education requirements
- Partner with Financial Advisors, Client Relationship Managers, and Market Supervision Managers on client servicing, risk, investments, and banking products
- Educate clients on the bank's services and banking offerings
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of client materials and follow up on client and Financial Advisor requests
- Support alignment with bank policies and procedures, operational excellence, client protection, and risk management
- Identify, deepen, and maintain client relationships while promoting Bank of America offerings
- Perform business development, investment solutions, and business management support for multiple Financial Advisors
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
- Displays confidence working as a self-starter in a sales role
- Builds strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration
- Displays a proactive mindset and effective time management
- Demonstrates a results-driven growth mindset and prioritizes client interests
- Identifies appropriate client solutions through application of learnings and new information
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills

- Proven ability to assess needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Proven ability to work collaboratively on a team with key partners and independently

- Strong follow-through skills
- Computer/technical literacy and proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Suite
- SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses must be obtained within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 accepted in lieu of Series 66 if previously held
- Subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including required background check and registration process
- Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of one year of work experience (desired)
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications (desired)
- Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously (desired)
