About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and negative customer impacts
- Create and update business rules to minimize false-positive commercial fraud alerts
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Center of Excellence alert review process
- Manage multiple ongoing initiatives by attending project calls, understanding commercial fraud needs, providing requirements, and tracking project status
- Analyze alerts daily using pattern-matching and trending techniques
- Query and analyze data for ad hoc requirements and generate team reports
- Work with technology teams on requirements, testing, and implementation of process improvements and automation
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and fitness through testing procedures and data controls
- Develop and execute Enterprise Data Management policies and standards
- Manage data-related incidents, inquiries, controls, breaches, and escalations
- Partner with business and technology functions on business and functional requirements
- Recommend data-driven actions to achieve business outcomes
- Analyze financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends
- Coordinate product performance reports and updates for senior management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in SQL/SAS
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL and tools such as TOAD and SQL Server
- Awareness of AI/machine learning concepts and ability to implement such strategies
- Experience in data analytics and interpretation of large data volumes
- Scripting experience in Python, Java, VB, SAS, or another language
- Experience in financial fraud processes preferred
- Data transformation and formatting experience preferred
- Knowledge of Global Financial Crimes program requirements preferred
- Experience in Global Banking & Markets business processes preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Access preferred
- Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau preferred
- Ability to prioritize, use initiative, make quick decisions, work flexibly and independently
- Ability to work remotely with globally distributed teams under pressure, meet deadlines, and navigate change
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and opinions
