About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert advisory guidance on complex, integrated debt capital solutions for commercial banking clients
- Manage ancillary credit exposure to clients
- Maintain knowledge of Investment Banking and Treasury Management products with credit exposure
- Structure, negotiate, document, and analyze credit facilities
- Independently assess historic and projected borrower financial information
- Evaluate adherence to policy and procedure
- Provide loan structure analysis and recommendations
- Monitor portfolio performance
- Evaluate creditworthiness and make credit facility recommendations
- Collaborate with Client Management teams on credit opportunities and prospects
- Manage client and prospect originations, including credit structuring, underwriting, legal documentation review, and deal closing
- Ensure accuracy and quality of underwriting metrics
- Monitor client operating performance and financial condition, identifying issues and opportunities
- Monitor loan maturities and collaborate with Analysts to address risks
- Escalate and debate deteriorating assets with the Special Assets Group and Risk
- Participate in Regional and Market meetings to communicate credit delivery best practices and results
- Report to the Commercial Credit Executive supporting the market
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of solid Commercial Banking Underwriting experience
- Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management
- Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling, and loan structuring
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally
- Industry knowledge across multiple sectors
- BA/BS Degree desired
- Ability to work 1st shift in the United States of America
- 40 hours per week
