About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, monitor, and document credit risk for a portfolio of clients
- Monitor changes in credit profiles and compliance with credit agreements
- Structure and underwrite new financing solutions across Global Banking and Markets products
- Assess risk solutions aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and strategies
- Serve as a market- or industry-level resource providing expert advisory guidance on complex debt capital solutions
- Serve as Line/Credit approver with Risk Management and drive internal credit approvals, loan documentation, and closing
- Monitor portfolio activities and approvals
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Treasury Solutions Officers, Risk, Syndications, Treasury, and product partners
- Assess client needs and design integrated credit solutions
- Assess borrower creditworthiness through due diligence, financial statement analysis, forecasting, company and industry risk analysis, terms and conditions, and relationship profitability
- Exercise delegated approval authority for lending limits, deal terms, creditworthiness, annual reviews, renewals, risk ratings, and breach actions
- Lead new credit originations with coverage teams and product partners
- Negotiate and structure legal documentation for loans and derivatives
- Establish and adjust internal risk ratings throughout the credit lifecycle
- Train, coach, and mentor Credit Analysts and Associates
- Interact with clients and prospects to understand financial goals, performance, and banking needs
- Underwrite and structure complex credit transactions with minimal oversight
- Travel occasionally for face-to-face interaction with dealer clients
- Participate in transaction negotiation and closing
- Oversee assigned portfolio monitoring, credit quality, compliance, exceptions, and past-due reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years commercial credit underwriting and analysis with a commercial bank or OEM captive finance organization
- Strong knowledge and comprehension of loan and collateral documentation
- Ability to accurately analyze a borrower’s financial picture and deliver comprehensive risk analysis to managers and risk officers
- Ability to develop an independent viewpoint and present a business case supporting conclusions
- Excellent relationship management skills and experience working in a team environment
- Ability to influence constituencies with diverse views toward consensus
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- 1st shift availability
- 40 hours per week
