About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data
  • Work with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct data management activities
  • Ensure data availability for appropriate consumers
  • Execute enterprise data management requirements, standards, data quality, and control practices
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for data management activities and adherence to policies and standards
  • Partner with Compliance, Audit, Risk, and Technology teams to deliver data solutions
  • Define, document, and maintain data processes, risks, and controls
  • Govern data across its full lifecycle, including capture, transport, use, and issue management
  • Monitor data health and drive data quality outcomes
  • Identify, document, escalate, and remediate data issues through timely closure
  • Monitor controls designed to mitigate data risk and address control gaps
  • Maintain accurate data inventories and support end-to-end traceability
  • Identify policy and standards adherence gaps and execute remediation plans
  • Monitor data quality and control performance metrics and support corrective actions
  • Analyze emerging data needs for risk, regulatory, and business priorities
  • Plan interim and target-state solutions within data management policies
  • Manage, coach, and develop associates where applicable
  • Manage expenses and budgets and deliver business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of data privacy, risk management, compliance, audit, or comparable regulatory experience
  • Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Risk and Control Management, Process Management, Project Management, and Stakeholder Management
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Co-Pilot
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical guidance
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Proactive, forward thinking, and process oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, regulated environment
  • Strong program and project management discipline
  • Experience applying compliance and risk management principles in complex organizations
  • Advanced critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Strong organization, documentation, and communication capabilities
  • Ability to lead through collaboration, partnership, and influence
