About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure and maintain tools and services providing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services
  • Validate access control mechanisms for the Software and Infrastructure Engineering team throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Review application server configurations to confirm CI/CD platform onboarding prerequisites
  • Monitor and respond to service alerts based on key performance indicators and escalated events
  • Create issues and action-plan summaries for stakeholders
  • Mentor DevOps Engineers and clarify issues and practices
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Solutions Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering teams on CI/CD platform changes and monitoring capabilities
  • Respond to risk and audit issues involving access control, separation of duties, and software release management standards
  • Execute CI/CD service onboarding and decommissioning change tickets using approved change management processes
  • Provide problem determination and resolution
  • Install and update newly developed software on assigned systems
  • Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources
  • Investigate and analyze information and evaluate existing or proposed systems
  • Collaborate with networking and other technical staff to ensure system connectivity and compatibility
  • Write and maintain system documentation
  • Support capacity planning, disaster recovery, and security
  • Configure and support operating systems, network protocols, systems programming, hubs, switches, and routers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in projects related to end-to-end server builds
  • Strong IT infrastructure knowledge, including compute, storage, networking (LAN/WAN/Internet), security, and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with RDBMS systems such as Oracle and SQL
  • Experience with middleware technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, MQ, IIB, and Mulesoft
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows systems
  • Strong understanding of public cloud technologies, including Azure and AWS
  • Strong understanding of VMware
  • Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience, including Ansible, YAML, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Git
  • Microsoft Visio proficiency
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for deployments
  • Ability to manage multiple infrastructure projects and deliver on time
  • Good interpersonal and business writing skills
  • Business customer- and vendor-facing experience
  • Banking experience or understanding of banking systems is a plus
  • Prior Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or DevOps Engineer experience is a plus
