About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review documentation according to bank policies and procedures
- Facilitate closings with clients and ensure lien perfection
- Work on highly complex documentation
- Support Loan Administrators with primary responsibilities
- Assist the Market Leader in directing workflow and performing quality assurance
- Work with vendors, legal counsel, line partners, and clients to ensure documentation accuracy
- Manage day-to-day operations for Community Development Banking
- Fund and book new deals
- Process cash receipts and update financial models
- Prepare journal entries and monitor cash accounts
- Provide reconciliation support and lead/direct daily team responsibilities
- Participate in testing the CARMA accounting system
- Review documents for accuracy, timely delivery, and research requirements
- Review loan approvals and counsel-prepared loan documents
- Design filing and organizational processes for financial booking and initial loan funding
- Serve as point of contact for investment-related servicing matters on complex deals
- Complete daily fundings, cash receipts, and bookings
- Assist Equity Administrators and Asset Managers with recording activities in the system of record and general ledger
- Monitor, research, and instruct payment processing for return of capital payments, disbursements, and fees
- Prepare and post journal entries on E Ledger and Oracle
- Maintain reconciliation exceptions/aging within acceptable levels
- Respond to internal and external auditors on SOX key controls
- Update financial models using CARMA
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 yrs. direct Accounting experience
- Experience with General Ledger entries
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Proficient experience with Legal Structures and Legal Forms
- Ability to prioritize and proactively manage responsibilities
- Effective problem solving skills and ability to perform independent research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suit
- Comfortable interacting with Front Line Unit and Finance teams
- Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Commercial or asset based lending experience
- Prior experience with tax credit investments and/or real estate partnerships
- eLedger experience
- 40 hours per week
- 1st shift (United States of America)
