About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions
- Design, develop, and remain accountable for feature delivery
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs
- Align technical solutions with business objectives
- Ensure coding practices and quality comply with software development standards
- Conduct multiple software implementations
- Apply broad and deep knowledge across several technical competencies
- Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality
- Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
- Guide the team on work breakdown and execution
- Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy product backlog and clear acceptance criteria
- Serve as an individual-contributor team lead and mentor team members
- Guide planning, estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience designing and developing applications
- Experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JBoss, Oracle, and Copilot
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
- Proficiency in Eclipse, Git/BitBucket, Maven, Jenkins, and SonarQube
- Understanding of application design patterns and object-oriented programming
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Desired: Experience with Spring Batch
- Desired: Experience with relational databases and SQL scripting
- Desired: Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
