About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a finance partner to specified Lines of Business and direct day-to-day finance activities
  • Lead strategic annual planning and implementation
  • Perform forecasting, profitability analysis, expense efficiency, pricing, and financial reporting
  • Oversee value creation ideas and new investment business cases
  • Support management decision-making and influence financial analysts
  • Provide finance business support for approximately $280B of GWIM deposit balances and associated Net Interest Income
  • Partner with GWIM Banking, Merrill, Private Bank Finance executives, and the Wealth Management Deposits Pricing LOB Executive and team
  • Analyze strategic business decisions, financial performance, client behavior, and strategies
  • Lead analysis, reporting deliverables, and forecasting related to balances and NII, including rate paid and earnings credit analysis
  • Deliver weekly finance updates, executive summaries, investor relations support, and ad hoc analysis
  • Lead projects and coordinate resources
  • Become the subject matter expert for the assigned area and interact with Products BFOs, CFO partners, and Line of Business, Marketing, or Risk partners
  • Oversee financial analysis and reporting on revenue growth, cost management, profitability, cash flow generation, and operational improvement
  • Review financial performance, synthesize trends, assess risks, and report results and key metrics
  • Manage forecasting and budgeting against plans, prior periods, and forecasts
  • Delegate and oversee financial management reports, presentations, and ad hoc analyses
  • Implement strategic initiatives, automate reporting capabilities, and deliver process improvements and simplifications
  • Build and manage Finance division partner relationships and implement policies, procedures, controls, and quality routines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting or financial analysis work experience
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Curiosity and interest in continuous process improvement
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with teammates
  • Strategic thinking and ability to understand complex business challenges and potential solutions
  • Ability to manage operational risk through strong processes and quality control routines
  • Essbase (Smartview) and general ledger familiarity
  • Planning and forecasting experience
  • Financial modeling
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Workiva
