About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle moderately complex operations processes related to credit disputes, escalations, and tax reporting
- Analyze, research, reconcile, validate reporting data, and resolve issues and customer requests
- Process transactions, reconciliations, and research requests for clients, consumer reporting agencies, or taxing authorities
- Perform daily reconciliation and tax withholding payment remittances to the IRS and states
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly quality assurance functions for tax payments, federal and state tax filings, withholding inquiries, reversals, and manual adjustments
- Review daily tax withholding payments before remittance to the IRS and states
- Review manual processing for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness using the Integrated Quality Systems workflow tool
- Escalate issues or concerns identified during quality assurance reviews to management
- Reconcile tax withholding ledgers daily and identify variances
- Complete monthly Frontier attestation for tax withholding ledgers
- Collaborate with Tax Operations teams and management on process enhancements
- Perform analytics, report creation, exception processing, and financial data research
- Identify risks and process improvement opportunities
- Provide quality service and support to internal business partners and external clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet daily deliverables
- Proven effectiveness in a fast paced and demanding environment with the ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within and across teams
- Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to continuous learning
- Tax Withholding or related financial experience (desired)
- Understanding of IRS rules and regulations (desired)
- Ability to work 1st shift in the United States of America
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
