About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle moderately complex operations processes related to credit disputes, escalations and tax reporting
  • Analyze, research, reconcile, validate reporting data, and resolve issues and customer requests
  • Process transactions, reconciliations, and research requests for clients, consumer reporting agencies, or taxing authorities
  • Prepare and review payment packets and gather documentation
  • Adhere to regulated payment schedules and deadlines
  • Review, research, and respond to branch inquiries regarding withholding via email or Service Request Portal
  • Review and research tax withholding reports and monthly reconciliations
  • Process manual tax withholding adjustments
  • Reconcile withholding ledgers through system checks and balances
  • Support year-end, tax withholding remediation, legal entity summary filings, tax-form solicitations, and IRS correspondence
  • Produce metrics reports and perform Quality Assurance peer reviews
  • Collaborate with management and internal and external teams on process enhancements
  • Provide quality service and support for internal business partners and external clients
  • Work overtime during tax season

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet daily deliverables
  • Proven effectiveness in a fast paced and demanding environment with the ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within and across teams
  • Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Tax Withholding or related financial experience
  • Understanding of IRS rules and regulations
