About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle moderately complex operations processes related to credit disputes, escalations and tax reporting
- Analyze, research, reconcile, validate reporting data, and resolve issues and customer requests
- Process tax withholding payments and remittances to the IRS and states
- Address withholding inquiries, process tax withholding reversals and manual withholding adjustments
- Assist with tax remediations and other team initiatives
- Prepare and review payment packets and gather documentation
- Adhere to regulated payment schedules and federal/state deadlines
- Review, research, and respond to branch inquiries via email or Service Request Portal
- Review tax withholding reports and monthly reconciliations
- Reconcile withholding ledgers and establish liability positions
- Support year-end and tax withholding remediation initiatives
- Support legal entity summary filings, tax form solicitations, and IRS correspondence
- Produce metrics reports and perform Quality Assurance peer reviews
- Collaborate with management and internal and external Tax Operations teams on process enhancements
- Provide quality service and support for internal business partners and external clients
- Work overtime during tax season
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet daily deliverables
- Proven effectiveness in a fast paced and demanding environment with the ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within and across teams
- Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to continuous learning
- Tax Withholding or related financial experience
- Understanding of IRS rules and regulations
- Must work 1st shift
- Must work 40 hours per week
