About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 licenses through structured lessons and dedicated study time
- Build banking, investment and advisory skills through Academy training
- Acquire, build and manage client relationships
- Identify client needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions
- Use a defined consultative approach with clients
- Build a network among banking customers, small business owners and higher-net-worth clients
- Provide comprehensive financial advice
- Deliver client reviews and presentations
- Recommend strategies to help clients achieve financial goals and life priorities
- Collaborate with banking and investment partners
- Connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill solutions
- Train at one financial center and potentially begin in a phone-based capacity until a permanent financial center is determined
Requirements
What you’ll need- Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses
- Must be self-disciplined in managing time and capacity
- Experience cultivating client relationships, assessing needs and recommending solutions
- Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration
- Results-driven mindset while prioritizing clients’ interests in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications
- Must obtain the SIE within 30 days of being hired
- Must obtain Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 accepted in lieu of Series 66
- Minimum high school diploma, GED, secondary school or equivalent
- Subject to SAFE Act registration, background check and ongoing good standing
- Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Reasonable commuting distance from home to assigned financial center
- Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum one year of financial services industry or sales experience is desired
