About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses through structured training and dedicated study time
- Build business knowledge using a defined consultative approach to identify client needs and appropriate solutions
- Cultivate, build, and manage client relationships
- Provide comprehensive advice and conduct client reviews and presentations
- Recommend strategies to help clients achieve financial goals and life priorities
- Collaborate with core banking and investment partners
- Connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill banking and investment solutions
- Interact with banking customers, small business owners, and higher-net-worth clients
- Build a client network and eventually grow a business
- Train at one financial center and potentially begin in a phone-based capacity until a suitable financial center location is determined
- Progress toward Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II after demonstrating success as a licensed advisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
- Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses
- Must obtain the SIE within 30 days of being hired
- Must obtain Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 accepted in lieu of Series 66
- Must be self-disciplined in managing time and capacity
- Experience in cultivating client relationships, assessing needs, and recommending solutions
- Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration
- Results-driven mindset while prioritizing clients’ interests in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications
- Subject to SAFE Act registration, background check, and registration requirements
- Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience is desired
- Spanish speaking is desired
