About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses through structured lessons and dedicated study time
  • Build financial services knowledge through a defined consultative approach
  • Systematically identify client needs and appropriate solutions
  • Acquire, build, and manage client relationships
  • Consider clients’ complex financial pictures and provide advice and solutions
  • Deliver comprehensive advice and client reviews/presentations
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve financial goals and life priorities
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners
  • Connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill banking and investment solutions
  • Interact with banking customers, small business owners, and higher-net-worth clients
  • Grow and deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients
  • Train at one financial center and potentially begin in a phone-based capacity until a financial center is determined

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses
  • Must obtain SIE within 30 days of being hired
  • Must obtain Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 accepted in lieu of Series 66
  • Subject to SAFE Act registration requirements
  • Must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing
  • Must submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process
  • Self-discipline in managing time and capacity
  • Experience cultivating client relationships, assessing needs, and recommending solutions
  • Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration
  • Results-driven mindset while prioritizing client interests in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum one year of financial services industry or sales experience (desired)
  • Spanish speaking (desired)
  • Monday–Friday schedule and rotating Saturdays
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Ability to work within a reasonable commuting distance of home
