About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses through structured lessons and dedicated study time
  • Build foundational advisor skills through training and coaching
  • Cultivate, build, and manage client relationships
  • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions
  • Consider clients’ complex financial pictures and provide comprehensive advice
  • Deliver client reviews and presentations
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve financial goals and life priorities
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners
  • Connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill banking and investment solutions
  • Build a network with banking customers, small business owners, and higher-net-worth clients
  • Work in a financial center and potentially begin in a phone-based capacity until a permanent financial center is determined
  • Progress toward Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II after demonstrating success as a licensed FSA I

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses
  • Must be self-disciplined in managing time and capacity
  • Experience cultivating client relationships, assessing needs, and recommending solutions
  • Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration
  • Results-driven mindset while prioritizing clients’ interests in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses required; Series 63 and 65 accepted in lieu of Series 66
  • Must obtain SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days
  • Subject to SAFE Act registration, background check, and ongoing good standing
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum one year of financial services industry or sales experience desired
  • Spanish speaking desired
  • Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays
  • First shift, 40 hours per week
  • Reasonable commuting distance of home may be required for the assigned financial center
