About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with affluent and high-net-worth clients in a Merrill branch
  • Identify client needs and develop relationships
  • Review investment goals and prepare aligned investment recommendations
  • Provide tailored and personalized advice through client reviews and presentations
  • Partner with management to assess financial goals and recommend investment advisory strategies
  • Understand and connect clients to Banking, Investment, and Life Priority solutions
  • Shadow Financial Advisor teams and share relevant market developments and new products
  • Leverage technology and available resources to optimize customer experience and operational accuracy
  • Participate in ongoing training to develop a book of business and meet financial targets
  • Build relationships with internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds
  • Manage risk across business, product, and service transactions
  • Develop relationship-management skills for an Elite Growth Practice
  • Build a network and sustainable book of business
  • Progress through the Advisor Development Program toward becoming an independent financial advisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
  • 4+ years of progressive professional and/or military experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the investments industry
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within allotted program time
  • Self-starter who efficiently manages time and capacity
  • Ability to set and accomplish goals
  • Ability to build and nurture strong relationships
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently and engage all clients
  • Ability to manage goals, navigate complexity, prioritize tasks, and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn, adapt to new information, and seek the right solutions for clients
  • Ability to incorporate relevant regulatory due diligence into daily activities and long-term client strategies
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field preferred
  • Experience in financial services and/or a sales environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills and ability to multitask preferred
  • Ability to partner and promote lead generation preferred
  • Experience balancing investment management, sales activities, and new client development preferred
  • Additional professional designations such as CFP and/or CRPC preferred
  • Insurance licenses preferred
  • Subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including required background check and registration process
