About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with affluent and high-net-worth clients in a Merrill branch
  • Identify client needs and develop relationships
  • Review investment goals and prepare aligned investment recommendations
  • Leverage technology to achieve business growth goals
  • Profile clients to determine investor profiles and financial resource objectives
  • Build a sustainable book of business
  • Provide opportunities for advisors to pursue a career within the bank
  • Provide tailored and personalized advice through client reviews and presentations
  • Partner with management to assess financial goals and recommend investment advisory strategies
  • Understand and connect clients with suitable Banking, Investment, and Life Priority solutions
  • Shadow Financial Advisor teams and share relevant market developments and new products
  • Leverage resources and technologies to optimize customer experience and operational accuracy
  • Participate in ongoing training to develop a book of business and meet financial targets
  • Build relationships with internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds
  • Proactively manage risk across business, product, and service transactions
  • Develop relationship-management skills for progression into an Elite Growth Practice
  • Market yourself, manage your practice, build a network, and pursue progression as an advisor
  • Deliver client reviews and presentations and recommend investment advisory strategies
  • Lead client and conference seminars as opportunities arise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
  • 4+ years of progressive professional and/or military experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the investments industry
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within allotted program time
  • Self-starter who efficiently manages time and capacity
  • Ability to set and accomplish goals
  • Ability to build and nurture strong relationships
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Effective and confident communication skills; comfortable engaging all clients
  • Ability to manage goals, navigate complexity, prioritize tasks, and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to new information, and seek appropriate client solutions
  • Thorough and thoughtful incorporation of relevant regulatory due diligence into daily activities and long-term client strategies
  • Experience in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded preferred
  • Strong computer skills and ability to multitask in a demanding environment preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business-related field
  • Proven ability to partner and promote lead generation preferred
  • Experience balancing investment management, sales activities, and new client development preferred
  • Additional professional designations such as CFP and/or CRPC preferred
  • Insurance licenses preferred
  • Subject to SAFE Act registration, background check, and registration requirements
  • Must work first shift, 40 hours per week
