About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with affluent and high-net-worth clients in a Merrill branch
  • Identify client needs and develop relationships
  • Review investment goals and prepare aligned investment recommendations
  • Leverage technology to achieve business growth goals
  • Profile clients to determine investor profiles and financial resource objectives
  • Build a sustainable book of business
  • Provide opportunities for advisors to pursue careers within the bank
  • Provide tailored and personalized advice through reviews and presentations
  • Partner with management to assess financial goals and recommend investment advisory strategies
  • Understand and connect clients to suitable Banking, Investment, and Life Priority solutions
  • Shadow Financial Advisor teams and share relevant market developments and new products
  • Optimize customer experience through available resources and technologies
  • Participate in training to develop a book of business and meet financial targets
  • Build relationships with internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds
  • Proactively manage risk across business, product, and service transactions
  • Develop relationship-management skills for an Elite Growth Practice
  • Market yourself and manage your own practice as you progress

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
  • 4+ years of progressive professional and/or military experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the investments industry
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within allotted program time
  • Self-starter who efficiently manages time and capacity
  • Sets and accomplishes goals
  • Builds and nurtures strong relationships
  • Collaborates effectively with others
  • Communicates effectively and confidently and is comfortable engaging all clients
  • Manages goals, navigates complexity, prioritizes tasks and executes in a fast-paced environment
  • Learns, adapts to new information and seeks the right solutions for clients
  • Incorporates relevant regulatory due diligence into daily activities and long-term client strategies
  • Experience in financial services and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded
  • Strong computer skills and ability to multitask in a demanding environment
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business-related field
  • Proven ability to partner and promote lead generation
  • Experience balancing investment management, sales activities and new client development
  • Additional professional designations such as CFP and/or CRPC
  • Insurance licenses
