About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Obtain Securities Industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time
- Learn foundational advisor skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships
- Assess clients’ complex financial pictures and provide advice and solutions
- Work in a financial center to deliver core banking, investment solutions, and client care
- Grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio
- Build business knowledge using a defined consultative approach
- Identify client needs and appropriate solutions
- Build a network with banking customers, small business owners, and higher-net-worth clients
- Provide comprehensive advice and deliver client reviews and presentations
- Recommend strategies to help clients achieve financial goals and life priorities
- Collaborate with core banking and investment partners
- Connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill financial solutions
- Potentially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center location is determined within a reasonable commuting distance
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
- Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses
- Must obtain SIE within 30 days of being hired
- Must obtain Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 accepted in lieu of Series 66
- Must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing under SAFE Act requirements
- Must submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process
- Experience cultivating client relationships, assessing needs, and recommending solutions
- Self-discipline in managing time and capacity
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Results-driven mindset while prioritizing client interests in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications
- Monday-Friday availability and rotating Saturdays
- 40 hours per week
- Desired: FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum one year of financial services industry or sales experience
- Desired: Bilingual Spanish speaking
