About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead transformation initiatives and business management across enterprise anti-money laundering detection, case management, and customer risk assessment
- Coordinate the GFC Financial Intelligence Unit Detection Transformation and Business Management activities portfolio
- Coordinate with cross-functional GFC units and second- and third-line-of-defense groups
- Advise and direct development and maintenance of financial crimes-owned policies and standards
- Review Front Line Unit and Control Function policies and standards for regulatory and operational risk coverage
- Produce or oversee independent financial crimes risk management reporting for senior leaders
- Monitor regulatory changes and direct policy, standards, procedure, and process updates
- Participate in industry forums and monitor regulatory expectations, emerging legislation, political scrutiny, litigation, and key influencers
- Escalate financial crimes compliance and operational risks to governance routines and management or board committees
- Identify, aggregate, report, escalate, inspect, and challenge remediation and thematic analysis of financial crimes issues and control enhancements
- Review and challenge internal and external anti-financial-crimes compliance activities and oversee remediation plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of professional experience in GFC, AML, or regulatory experience
- 5+ years with a preference for transaction monitoring, case management, and customer risk assessments
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Subject matter expertise to develop end-to-end processes for Enterprise functions for metrics/reporting of high and elevated risk reporting across the Company
- Expertise in AML regulations and requirements for customer due diligence and risk rating
- Ability to take minimum guidance to develop comprehensive and sustainable solutions
- Background or exposure to management software such as JIRA
- Exposure and practical experience with emerging automation and machine learning solutions
