About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and execute internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business or Enterprise Control Function
  • Lead projects within the Global AML Operations Business Controls organization
  • Lead CDD requirements simplification and harmonization projects
  • Facilitate gap assessments driven by AML regulatory changes, audit issues, and regulatory remediation efforts
  • Run regular routines with key stakeholders across GBGM AML Operations, Global Financial Crimes, Risk, and Technology
  • Coordinate with GAOO support teams and stakeholders for end-to-end process engagement and timely change implementation
  • Develop and document implementation plans based on gap assessment findings
  • Review and govern proposed operational procedure and process changes through governance forums
  • Use data to identify process simplification opportunities
  • Perform monitoring and testing of controls, identify issues, and develop control improvements for remediation
  • Lead implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance practices
  • Manage team member performance and productivity for quality inspection reviews
  • Ensure timely execution of QA activities, including control execution, case management, and results reporting
  • Manage and review operations front-line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and monitoring reviews
  • Ensure data accuracy and capture relevant inspection metrics for governance dashboards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong Project Management skills and proven track record of leading projects
  • Experience in Procedure and Policy Implementation, Regulatory Remediation or similar Business Controls activities
  • Familiarity with AML regulations would be an advantage
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines in a demanding environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to senior management
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization and organize data for executive-level reporting
  • Self-starter who can work independently with little guidance or direction
  • Ability to read and understand complex matters, anticipate risks, and summarize key information
  • Strong research and analytical skills and attention to detail in the broader business context
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present key messages, recommendations, and information clearly, concisely, insightfully, and influentially
  • Strong leadership, project management, and risk and compliance background
  • Familiarity with AML processes and AML regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week on 1st shift (United States of America)
