About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, lead and execute the multi-year transformation of the Global Trade business within Global Payments Solutions
- Set the transformation strategy and execution framework
- Own investment and funding strategy, transformation business cases and governance representation
- Lead target operating and digital-first service model implementation
- Simplify and standardize processes while accelerating automation, data-led processing and straight-through processing
- Provide business leadership for migration from legacy Trade platforms to future-state technology architecture
- Lead migration sequencing, business readiness, risk management and legacy platform retirement
- Identify and champion digital, data, automation, AI and emerging technology opportunities
- Develop strategic relationships with technology providers, FinTechs and ecosystem participants
- Lead pilot-client strategy, commercialization and broader adoption of digital capabilities
- Drive organizational readiness and adoption across technology, processes, roles, skills, controls and ways of working
- Establish executive transparency across delivery, investment, risk and dependencies
- Ensure realization of financial and non-financial transformation benefits
- Align Product, Operations, Technology, Service, Sales and regional stakeholders around a common roadmap
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive transformation leadership experience within a large, complex financial institution
- Strong Trade Finance and working-capital domain expertise, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees/Standbys, Supply Chain Finance, Open Account and Receivables Finance
- Ability to translate strategy into execution through multi-year roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, delivery models, governance structures, resource strategies and measurable outcomes
- Significant experience across Product, Operations and Technology
- Demonstrated technology-transformation experience, including platform modernization, technology integration, client and process migration, and legacy application retirement
- Strong target-operating-model expertise
- Experience driving digitization, automation, data-led processing and straight-through processing
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including transformation business cases and measurable benefits
- Experience securing and managing significant multi-year transformation investment
- Proven global leadership across multiple regions, legal entities and organizational structures
- Strong change-management capabilities, including stakeholder alignment, organizational readiness, communications, training, adoption and behavioral change
- Demonstrated senior stakeholder management and executive influence
- Strong risk and control orientation in a highly regulated environment
- Excellent executive communication skills
- Proven leadership and talent-development capabilities
- Desired: understanding of the global Trade Finance ecosystem and electronic trade documents
- Desired: experience with Trade Finance platforms and providers such as Finastra, FIS and IBM
- Desired: knowledge of AI-enabled Trade capabilities, ERP/client connectivity models, APIs and integration strategies
- Desired: Transformation Office/Transformation Management Office experience
- Desired: complex client and portfolio migration and legacy platform decommissioning experience
- Desired: digital-first service model experience
- Desired: data transformation, build/buy/partner strategy and third-party relationship management
- Desired: transformation economics and benefits realization knowledge
- Desired: experience commercializing new capabilities and scaling pilot programs
- Desired: external orientation and knowledge of emerging technologies and competitive developments
