About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide advice to business unit executives and senior-level managers on Human Resources issues
- Establish strategy for Enterprise and line-of-business HR priorities and organizational effectiveness
- Partner with senior business leaders as a trusted HR advisor
- Oversee workforce activities including headcount reporting and analytics, financials/expenses, promotions, opportunity and inclusion, performance, talent management, and cross-HR initiatives
- Build effective teams, develop talent, manage risk, and create an inclusive environment
- Leverage HR systems and reporting tools including Workday and Tableau for strategic decision-making
- Partner with business leadership, talent acquisition, finance, and compensation on headcount planning, hiring, and offers
- Participate in talent planning, talent assessment, employee development, coaching, and resource rationalization
- Onboard new leaders and provide executive coaching
- Lead year-end compensation and in-year market assessment processes
- Design and deliver organizational development and effectiveness initiatives
- Drive organizational health, organization design, efficient organizational models, and workforce planning
- Drive culture and conduct, employee satisfaction, opportunity and inclusion, learning, and leadership development initiatives
- Engage Employee Relations, Legal, and Compliance on people-related situations
- Lead and develop the HR Manager supporting the businesses
- Lead or participate in line-of-business HR initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of Human Resources leadership experience with a proven track record of advancement and business success
- Deep technical HR competence, including HR generalist experience and broad knowledge across HR disciplines
- Ability to influence using technical HR expertise, business acumen, and relationship skills
- Superb relationship management and interpersonal alliance-building skills at all levels
- Ability to connect with senior executives on business and personal levels
- Experience in client management around strategic HR issues, including talent management, compensation, organizational design/development, and change management
- Demonstrated enterprise thought leadership to drive change and innovation
- Professional demeanor; outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Experience analyzing and interpreting organizational and workforce planning data and communicating insights
- Ability to partner with Finance, Technology, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Leadership and Development, and Compensation
- Strong Microsoft Office and written presentation skills
- Client-facing experience preferred
- Knowledge of line-of-business and regulatory environment is a plus
- Experience supporting complex businesses such as investment banking, wealth management, or Staff Support functions in Risk or CFO is a plus
- Ability to work first shift in the United States
- 40 hours per week
