About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide engineering design and development support for DDCS and ENVentory applications
Provide subject matter expertise and consulting on technologies contributing to end-to-end engineering solutions
Follow reference models, blueprints, and playbooks to ensure compliant designs
Translate business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and deployment playbooks
Ensure system design technology solutions comply with enterprise engineering standards
Develop software solutions for manual, repeatable, or inefficient processes
Work with Operations teams on production issue root-cause analysis
Partner with Database Engineering and Operations teams to improve stability, reliability, and capabilities
Attend daily stand-ups
Facilitate deployment through templates, playbooks, and automation
Contribute to technology strategy and architecture feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience with application development and web development, Java, Spring Boot, Spring microservices, and Autosys
Experience using shared storage and load balancers for application resiliency
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Linux/Unix environments
Strong scripting experience with Shell/Python
Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and DNT
Hands-on experience troubleshooting application production issues
Minimum 3 years of experience working in an Agile delivery environment, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries using SQL/Oracle PL/SQL
Strong knowledge of advanced database concepts
Experience implementing Inventory and Entitlement controls
Asset Management, ServiceNow, and MDH domain knowledge
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical skills for identifying root causes of complex production issues
Strong experience automating container image builds, testing, and deployment to OpenShift
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to review system logs and monitor data to identify performance anomalies
