About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and deliver complex software requirements to accomplish business goals
  • Develop software meeting functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
  • Code solutions and unit test according to acceptance and compliance requirements
  • Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers
  • Maintain principal architecture integrity
  • Mentor software engineers and coach the team on CI/CD practices and automation tool stacks
  • Execute story refinement, define requirements, and estimate delivery-lifecycle work
  • Automate manual release activities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated integration, regression, and performance test suites
  • Ensure solutions integrate successfully into applications and systems with robust, well-tested interfaces
  • Perform spikes and proofs of concept to mitigate risk and implement new ideas
  • Utilize multiple architectural components in client-requirement design and development
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Java/J2EE
  • Object Oriented design and Programming
  • Spring
  • At least one ORM/Persistence Framework: iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, Kafka, JPA
  • SOA, REST/SOAP Web Services, Micro Services, CXF, JAXWS/JAXRS, JSON, XML
  • Source Control: Bit Bucket, Subversion (SVN), Perforce, or similar
  • Maven, test driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), JUnit, Mockito
  • IDE experience with Eclipse, RAD, or other
  • At least one RDBMS and SQL: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server
  • Agile/Iterative development and full SDLC development
  • At least one RIA Framework: jQuery, Angular, YUI, Ext JS, DOJO, Vue.js
  • Front-end web development with JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Ajax, SASS
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written/presentation format
  • Ability to work in a supportive and transparent team environment and independently research and resolve issues
  • Good communication skills and ability to engage and influence teams across technology and business
