About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs
Align technical solutions with business objectives
Ensure coding practices and quality comply with software development standards
Conduct multiple software implementations
Design, develop, and remain accountable for feature delivery
Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality
Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
Guide the team on work breakdown and execution
Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy product backlog and clear acceptance criteria
Serve as an individual-contributor team lead and mentor team members
Guide planning, estimation, peer reviews, engineering practices, CI/CD practices, and tool-stack automation
Contribute to Merchant Business Software Suite point-of-sale technology within Enterprise Payments Technology

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years experience coding solutions and unit testing to deliver requirements/stories according to acceptance and compliance criteria
5+ years experience designing, developing, and modifying architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining principal architecture integrity
Proven experience with Java and Kotlin Android applications in production-level environments
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile development methodologies
Experience mentoring Software Engineers and coaching teams on CI/CD practices and tool-stack automation
Experience with Point of Sale applications, Point of Sale terminal development, payment gateways, mobile app development, Android development, merchant services, or payments is preferred/desired
