About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a solution expert and advisor for business banking clients within a market to maximize credit results
- Identify and analyze market opportunities to offer or deepen credit with clients and prospects
- Advise Relationship Managers on credit solutions using industry knowledge, credit expertise, product and process management, sales and client experience support
- Join client meetings with market Relationship Managers and Market Executives
- Participate in client management routines focused on responsible loan growth
- Partner with Relationship Managers and credit teams to close deals with regional and centralized credit partners
- Help identify unmet credit needs and strategic opportunities
- Help develop and drive credit strategy as part of the Business Banking Market Leadership team
- Assist Relationship Managers with credit prospect identification, review and prioritization
- Review credit progress and production success against business plans and pipeline reports
- Educate and coach the market on credit solutions and growth opportunities, including pre-screening, deal development and reviews
- Maintain routines with regional and centralized credit managers and credit specialists
- Participate in growth plan discussions, credit portfolio assessment meetings, pre-call planning and client/prospect meetings
- Demonstrate commitment to Responsible Growth and credit risk appetite
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of Commercial Credit and Sales experience with effective client-facing sales skills
- Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization and build strong relationships among Relationship Managers, Risk, Credit Partners, Product Partners and Leadership
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to communicate rationale for loan decisions verbally and in writing
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end credit process
- Understanding of specialized credit solutions and industry specializations with established partner relationships
- Attention to detail, accuracy and overall data quality
- Ability to lead effectively and develop and implement strategy related to credit growth
- Established internal and external network for self-sourcing new credit opportunities
- Minimum of a BA/BS degree required; Finance, Accounting or Economics majors preferred
- Ability to work 1st shift
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
