About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support marketing operations through design, development, and delivery of pre-campaign targeting analytics
  • Interface with Strategic Marketing Managers, Data Science Engineers, Database Administrators, and Legal/Risk/Compliance partners
  • Identify, research, analyze, and resolve complex problems
  • Develop significant process enhancements
  • Capture strategic ideas and identify key data sources
  • Convert business specifications into code
  • Run initial pre-sizing analytics of marketing opportunities
  • Serve as subject matter expert for product eligibility parameters
  • Understand permissible and legal use of data for targeting
  • Feed targeted list assets into online and offline channels, including email, direct mail, authenticated webpages, authenticated mobile apps, ATMs, monthly statements, outbound and inbound call centers, and financial centers
  • Manage projects, explore data, size populations, extract data, design experiments, conduct legal data-usage reviews, and manage offline/online channels
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure system support conforms to business needs and specifications
  • Collaborate with managers and enterprise partners across technical and non-technical functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma, GED, secondary school or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of relational database structures and principles
  • Basic exposure and/or experience using Python, SAS, SQL, UNICA, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other database access tools
  • Strong desire to build greater proficiency in database access tools
  • Ability to build and interpret business requirements documents (BRD)
  • Ability to translate defined requirements into detailed targeting specifications
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences, front line workers and senior executives
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of direct marketing campaign processes including DOE construction, campaign design, measurement and tracking is desired
  • Experience working in the financial industry is desired
  • Willingness to question the status quo and lead peer capability-improvement initiatives is desired
  • Must comply with legal, risk and compliance expectations for data usage
