About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive new merchant business acquisition in partnership with Treasury Sales Officers and relationship managers
  • Engage clients as part of the extended client team for complex merchant sales
  • Consult on client commerce ecosystems, integrations, industry standards, trends, and broader bank product solutions
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new merchant business sales involving higher-valued and more complex opportunities
  • Develop tailored value propositions for different client types and industries
  • Position value and drive solutions across merchant offerings including Tokenization, Equipment, and Transaction Routing
  • Work across a matrixed coverage organization to uncover opportunities, target prospects, and close new business
  • Provide strategic guidance and advisory content to encourage prospects and clients to move merchant services to Bank of America
  • Support the merchant product sales cycle, including client selection, pricing, credit review, and post-sale implementation
  • Develop new business, maintain consistent pipeline growth, and improve conversion
  • Manage client engagements, account management, complex deals, and emerging solution opportunities to grow market share
  • Represent the bank at key industry events and lead consultative discussions
  • Support banking line partners with treasury management, product risk, and policy application throughout the sales cycle
  • Manage strategy and tactical execution of segment initiatives across Lines of Business
  • Identify responses to emerging product trends, competitive strategies, and market gaps
  • Develop and implement programs and policies supporting Global Treasury solutions and local market strategies
  • Participate as product or industry expert in client call planning and strategic client reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-5 years of Core Acquiring (Credit/Debit) industry experience
  • 2-5 years of direct sales experience
  • 2-5 years of sales experience including C-level sales
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Expert knowledge of POS (integrated/standalone) payment interfaces
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to cultivate and strengthen client relationships with senior business and IT staff members
  • Ability to technically consult with C-level executives within client environment
  • Demonstrated experience working with 3rd party VAR’s / Integrators and payment gateways
  • Understanding of PC payment applications, merchant services industry applications, accounting systems, competition/competitive landscape in the payments industry, enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), data security (PCI), file formatting, and data transmission
  • 2-5 years experience in the Dealer Finance Vertical
  • Expert Knowledge with Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
  • Experience working with National/Enterprise Sized clients
  • Must comply with applicable FDIC and Safe Act/Loan Originators hiring restrictions related to criminal history
