About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design infrastructure tools and services within technical domains according to architectural governance, standards, and policies
- Lead deployment of tools and services through solution development, templates, playbooks, and automation
- Translate application and business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks
- Create or select functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements
- Review and develop software solutions for manual, repeatable, or inefficient processes
- Evaluate reference models, blueprints, playbooks, and third-party products
- Mentor infrastructure resources on infrastructure services and application integration validation methods
- Provide end-to-end middleware administration for critical banking platforms including WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS
- Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory initiatives
- Maintain production stability and patch middleware platforms
- Install, configure, tune, and support middleware servers
- Provide middleware and Java support to application and testing teams
- Create, maintain, and support application deployment templates
- Serve as a J2EE architect and recommend J2EE application-development best practices
- Design middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover
- Provide technical consultation and communicate with enterprise business partners
- Interface with internal customers and external vendors throughout the SDLC
- Execute production changes for integrated and regulatory releases
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7 years of experience as an Information Technology professional
- Experience with Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, and Tomcat
- Linux operating system knowledge
- Java/container framework knowledge
- Knowledge of shell, Jython, and Perl scripting
- Understanding of HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, and B2B links
- Experience with Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, and BitBucket
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (desired)
- Prior Bank of America experience (desired)
- WebSphere Extreme Scale and BPM Middleware Administration experience (desired)
- DevOps experience (desired)
- Experience with BMC Truesight Server Automation, Harman mDeliver, Terraform, and Ansible Tower (desired)
