About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Resolve complex day-to-day problems and research and execute complex transactions for a site/business unit
- Advise on the design, development, and implementation of complex products, systems, and services in an operations environment
- Advise on projects and direct team activities related to special initiatives
- Serve as a technical expert on operations processes and implications for other operations groups
- Develop future-state approaches and facilitate program/initiative setup, execution, and control
- Identify and recommend responsibilities and accountabilities for key programs and projects
- Manage end-to-end invoice processing and controls across Appian Invoicing and Oracle AP
- Monitor, interpret, and operationalize emerging Laws, Rules, and Regulations across international markets
- Apply and oversee EMEA tax and reporting requirements
- Analyze inquiry trends to identify root causes, training opportunities, and process improvements
- Drive AI and automation initiatives from ideation through implementation
- Support employees and vendors by resolving invoice and expense payment inquiries
- Partner with Business Units, Operations, and Finance teams across multiple countries to meet SLAs and regulatory requirements
- Support system enhancements, UAT, and process development initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years working experience in operations function / process improvement or change management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills

- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Time management abilities
- Must be able to multitask and work well within a team setting
- Demonstrated experience using data to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, exceptions, control gaps, and automation opportunities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate large datasets and translate findings into actionable business improvements
- Experience developing KPIs, performance metrics, operational dashboards, and executive reporting
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on invoice, payment, supplier, and process-related issues
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or similar analytics tools
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle Cloud and SAP
- Knowledge of AP automation solutions, workflow tools, OCR technologies, AI-enabled invoice processing, and straight-through processing concepts
- Understanding data quality management, data governance, and master data controls
- Ability to redesign processes to reduce manual effort, improve cycle times, increase data quality, and enhance control effectiveness
- Ability to translate complex data insights into business-focused recommendations for leadership
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across AP, Tax, Treasury, Technology, Accounting, Procurement, and Operations teams
