About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the Operations team and ensure deadlines, execution, and task coordination
Support continuous business improvements
Review operations procedures and implement changes
Ensure adherence to operations procedures
Provide guidance to employees
Handle exception requests and refer complex problems to a senior manager
Support global wire transfers and ACH payments for internal and external bank clients
Support end-to-end payment execution and transaction investigations
Provide sanctions screening on transactions in accordance with Global Economic Sanctions Compliance policies
Resolve day-to-day problems and execute deliverables within the business unit
Provide functional expertise to business-unit projects and initiatives
Manage team workload and provide oversight and direction
Maintain internal, operational, and financial controls within the business unit’s risk appetite
Review processes for efficiency and implement process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 1 year of operational accounting experience
Working knowledge of applicable processes, policies, and regulations
Previous experience with general ledger
Proficient skills utilizing MS Excel
Thorough understanding of debits and credits
Ability to multi-task and meet specific performance goals
Excellent problem-solving skills
Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and assertive
Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt quickly to change
Demonstrated leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Excellent research, analytical, and decision-making skills
Ability to work overtime as needed
Experience with systems such as Recon Plus, PIX, eLedger, FDES, BOSS, Content Navigator, MSS, BFT, Cashpro, and TSYS is desired
