About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and lead the engineering approach for the program/portfolio solution
  • Work with Architecture to develop, analyze, and deliver technical enablers
  • Lead planning, definition, and design of complex features spanning multiple teams
  • Explore solution alternatives and develop complex technology and solution approaches
  • Provide technical oversight for solution development teams, including design reviews and code within the domain
  • Define the technology tool stack using internally approved and supported technologies
  • Explore state-of-the-art technologies to improve development efficiency, test/QA coverage, and release management
  • Lead and own the end-to-end test strategy, creation, and adherence
  • Manage integration between teams for the program/portfolio solution
  • Provide direction to GMI Technology teams working on the migration program
  • Work with Program Managers to plan and prioritize technology-focused items
  • Coordinate GMI Technology migration projects with other program workstreams
  • Ensure all non-functional requirements are met in the new solution
  • Develop a clear, efficient, and clean ecosystem architecture
  • Maintain a working ecosystem around GMI and its replacement platform
  • Maintain the highest technology SDLC standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10 yr+ GMI knowledge
  • 10yr+ Futures & Options Clearing front to back knowledge, including client allocations, clearing workflow, Fees & Commissions, margins and Regulatory Reporting
  • Experienced Principal Engineer to migrate from GMI to new system
  • Experience leading technical delivery teams with a proven track record
  • Good understanding of functional architectures within Clearing Technology space
  • Ability to work with vendor SMEs to develop technical architecture/solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain focused on targets to hit delivery dates
  • Prior experience of BofA GMI ecosystem strongly preferred
  • Prior experience of large-scale migration projects
  • Prior experience of working with vendors on technology projects, especially FIS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1st shift availability
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
