About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze processes, document business case opportunities, and implement process improvement/transformation initiatives supporting Operational Excellence objectives
  • Support change initiatives that drive cost efficiencies, quality, productivity, and risk mitigation
  • Work with business leaders and subject matter experts across integrated business and technology teams
  • Implement low to moderately complex solutions addressing issues and risks, optimizing efficiency, reducing variability, and improving controls, quality, and sustainability
  • Gather information from Line of Business partners to identify and implement solutions for critical business challenges
  • Apply process engineering best practices and deliver reusable technology solutions
  • Use analytics and critical thinking to translate issues into structured, design-oriented solutions with defined business-case benefits
  • Support enterprise change-management deliverables, including project charters, SIPOC, RACI process maps, risk assessments, and control plans
  • Support the Process Owner with process-management responsibilities and required SPI deliverables
  • Coordinate with business leaders, subject matter experts, Control Owners, Metric Owners, and support partners to maintain process information
  • Maintain end-to-end process maps and documentation covering steps, controls, metrics, risks, systems, handoffs, and client impacts
  • Monitor process and control performance, identify trends or exceptions, and escalate material concerns
  • Facilitate process-governance routines, working sessions, and reviews; document decisions and track follow-up actions
  • Review process and control metrics, support root-cause analysis, and coordinate action plans for performance gaps, issues, and risks
  • Track SPI requirements, deadlines, attestations, and action items
  • Assess workflows against process-management and risk-management standards and raise gaps for resolution
  • Support regulatory exams, internal audits, assessments, and monitoring or inspection reviews
  • Capture stakeholder feedback and voice-of-the-customer data to simplify, standardize, or strengthen processes
  • Partner with Process Owners and Operational Excellence resources to prioritize and advance improvement opportunities
  • Support implementation and sustainment of process enhancements, control improvements, training updates, and procedure changes
  • Use data, analytics, and critical thinking to produce recommendations and measurable improvement opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years relevant Process Risk Management and/or Claims Operations work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Claims and/or Client Protections processes, controls, and supporting systems
  • Experience with Single Process Inventory and process governance frameworks, standards, tools, and routines
  • Experience in business controls, issues or management
  • Experience using data and process performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Process management experience, including process mapping or root-cause analysis
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, or risk and control assessments
  • Experience with Claims workflow tools such as EPIC, ENG, or BASS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and cohesively in a team setting
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to resolve complex problems
  • Ability to lead complex projects and exercise independent judgment
  • Self-starter with initiative to coordinate training, communication plans, process, and performance improvement efforts
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings and prepare materials
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with Process Owners, Control Owners, Metric Owners, and other stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accurate, complete, and audit-ready process documentation
