About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive product strategy, portfolio management, and delivery execution across Merchant Services Technology capabilities
- Oversee a portfolio of products and strategic initiatives
- Lead Product Owners and Project/Program Managers responsible for business and technology outcomes
- Partner with business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders
- Establish product visions and roadmaps
- Provide portfolio oversight and manage investment priorities
- Oversee program execution and develop high-performing teams
- Generate program visions and roadmaps based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and strategic direction
- Communicate program vision and roadmaps to stakeholders, product owners, and teams
- Oversee product budgets and personnel and non-personnel expenses with finance partners
- Define business capabilities and align them to products or create new products
- Ensure product availability with demand and capacity teams
- Develop business cases for new products and additional features
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs, features, and epics
- Provide portfolio governance, reporting, financial oversight, and executive communications
- Oversee program planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and execution across multiple workstreams
- Lead, coach, mentor, and manage performance for Product Owners, Product Analysts, and Project/Program Managers
- Drive workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability growth
- Establish and monitor KPIs, product health metrics, delivery outcomes, and value realization measures
- Promote continuous improvement, Agile best practices, innovation, and operational excellence
- Model inclusion, manage process and data, communicate enterprise decisions, manage risk, steward finances, develop talent, and drive business outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Technology Delivery, or related disciplines
- 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing Product Owners, Product Managers, Program Managers, Project Managers, or related technology professionals
- Experience leading product portfolios and strategic technology initiatives in a complex enterprise environment
- Demonstrated success managing multiple products, programs, and cross-functional delivery teams simultaneously
- Strong understanding of product management principles, portfolio management practices, Agile methodologies, and software delivery lifecycles
- Experience establishing governance structures, executive reporting, roadmaps, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Experience managing budgets, funding allocation, financial planning, forecasting, and business case development
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior executives and business leaders
- Ability to lead organizational change, drive strategic alignment, and resolve competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional communication, leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of Merchant Services, Payments Processing, Acquiring, Treasury Services, Commercial Payments, or Financial Services
- Experience working within highly regulated environments with significant risk, compliance, and audit requirements
- Familiarity with SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, Agile Product Management, and modern product operating models
- PMP, SAFe Product Manager, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), Agile, or related certifications preferred
