About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide front-line and end-to-end production support for enterprise CI/CD applications and platforms
- Lead triage efforts, bridge-line troubleshooting, incident response, and restoration activities
- Record and document business impacts, application flows, outage impacts, customer experience, and support contacts
- Interpret monitors, dashboards, and logs to validate business impacts and communicate with leadership and vendors
- Conduct incident root cause analysis, resolution, preventative actions, remediation planning, and change requests
- Promote production governance and identify failure scenarios, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for applications within the portfolio
- Support Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform/Tower, JFrog Artifactory, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, CloudBees Jenkins, XL Release, Harness, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Apache Kafka environments
- Troubleshoot application errors, platform failures, integration issues, job failures, and performance concerns
- Conduct proactive application stability and health assessments
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Application Development, Infrastructure, and other support teams on fixes, code updates, configuration changes, upgrades, and operational improvements
- Improve monitoring and observability using Dynatrace and Splunk
- Support server patching, vulnerability remediation, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities
- Support artifact repositories, dependency management, and compliance scanning
- Respond to production incidents, service requests, and operational tickets within SLA requirements
- Develop automation using Python, Bash, or similar scripting technologies
- Participate in a round-robin on-call rotation, including weekend support
- Assess and prioritize research requests, ad hoc reports, and offline incidents
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience in OpenShift containers, CI/CD platforms, and cloud architecture
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Tower, JFrog Artifactory, GitHub, XL Release or Harness, CloudBees Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with SaaS and cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Expertise in Unix systems
- Experience with artifact repositories, dependency management, and compliance engines
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
- Experience with Dynatrace and Splunk
- Experience contributing to automation efforts
- Production support or similar experience, preferably in a CI/CD platform environment
- Availability for on-call support, including weekend rotations
- 7+ years of experience in production operations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Unix, and container-based technologies
- Familiarity with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
- Knowledge of F5 load balancing, GTM, high-availability architecture, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies
- Red Hat Linux, DevOps, cloud, or related technical certifications preferred
- Ability to work first shift in the United States of America
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
