About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and implement common, reusable, and scalable software components
- Enable Global Risk Management’s data and analytical capabilities
- Apply quantitative methods to meet line-of-business, risk-management, and regulatory requirements
- Understand financial data schemas, flows, scale, data issues, and controls
- Build performant big data pipelines
- Deliver high-quality code for model and testing processes using software development lifecycle principles
- Collaborate with modelers, risk managers, technologists, process owners, data owners, Front Line Units, and Technology teams
- Assess current-state processes, underlying data, process flows, controls, and risks
- Build domain-specific expertise in bank processes and data
- Develop and document scalable analytical solutions using programming, AI development patterns, and quantitative techniques
- Source, validate, and analyze large and complex datasets
- Apply data engineering and analytics to identify trends and assess risk
- Address governance, security, observability, auditability, and continuous monitoring requirements for AI-enabled solutions
- Drive process optimization through testing, feedback loops, automation, and responsible AI adoption
- Continuously enhance capabilities in response to changing portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Process and Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, or equivalent work experience
- Strong programming skills, including Python
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), agentic AI concepts, or AI-assisted development tools
- Experience with structured and unstructured data
- Experience with SQL, APIs, and databases
- Quantitative analysis and sound judgment
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
- Critical thinking, prioritization, attention to detail, change management, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Ability to work 1st shift in the United States of America
- 40 hours per week
