About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct quantitative analytics and modeling projects for specific business units or risk types
- Develop wholesale credit risk models, including loss forecasting, commercial scorecards, behavioral scores, and regulatory capital models
- Perform end-to-end market risk stress testing, including scenario design, implementation, results consolidation, reporting, and analysis
- Execute in-depth analysis of wholesale credit performance and financial data
- Develop new models, analytic processes, and system approaches
- Perform statistical analysis on large datasets and interpret results using qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Prepare white papers for developed models
- Create technical documentation for all activities
- Work with Technology staff to design systems that run developed models
- Interact with internal model risk management, address concerns, and remediate model-related findings
- Support post-implementation activities, ongoing monitoring reviews, and stakeholder interactions
- Support quantitative work prioritization aligned with the bank's strategy
- Identify continuous improvements through reviews, documentation feedback, and effective challenges
- Provide methodological, analytical, and technical guidance to development and validation projects
- Communicate submission and validation outcomes to model stakeholders and senior management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline
- Master's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong STEM background
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning, Statistical Modeling, Quantitative Analysis, Forecasting, and Data Visualization
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, SAS, R, MATLAB, and C/C++
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and distributed computing
- Knowledge of Tableau and Power BI
- Applied statistics skills, including distributions, statistical testing, and regression
- Strong business analysis and documentation skills, including requirements, process flows, and data lineage
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- First shift availability in the United States of America
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
