About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct quantitative analytics and modeling projects for specific business units or risk types
- Develop new models, analytic processes, or systems approaches
- Create technical documentation for related activities
- Work with Technology staff to design systems that run developed models
- Perform end-to-end market risk stress testing, including scenario design, implementation, results consolidation, reporting, and analysis of stress scenario drivers
- Support planning of quantitative work priorities aligned with the bank’s strategy
- Identify continuous improvements through model development and validation reviews, technical documentation feedback, and effective challenges
- Support model development and model risk management in focus areas
- Provide methodological, analytical, and technical guidance for development and validation projects
- Work with model stakeholders and senior management on submission and validation outcomes
- Perform statistical analysis on large datasets and interpret results using qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Develop and deliver forward-looking risk analytics, portfolio assessments, and decision-support tools
- Analyze model results, portfolio performance, and emerging risk trends to produce actionable business insights
- Support forecasting processes and model overlays through quantitative, economic, and financial analysis
- Monitor macroeconomic, industry, and client-specific developments to assess portfolio impacts
- Design and enhance analytical methodologies, tools, and reporting capabilities
- Partner with Risk, Business, Technology, and Analytics teams on scalable solutions
- Communicate complex analytical findings to senior leadership, governance stakeholders, and regulatory audiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience
- Advanced degree and/or CFA progress preferred
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of financial markets, macroeconomics, and risk management principles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with statistical or programming tools such as Python, SAS, R, or SQL
- Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and executive audiences
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities
- Knowledge or skills in critical thinking, quantitative development, risk analytics, risk modeling, technical documentation, risk management, test engineering, data modeling, data and trend analysis, process performance measurement, and research
- First shift availability
- 40 hours per week
