About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support data and technology requests, complex reporting and analysis, and modeling to manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses
- Review and analyze portfolio trends
- Support development of complex databases and queries to extract data
- Support production of data for internal and external reporting needs
- Work with Technology to implement changes supporting ongoing data needs
- Develop and execute reporting that enables Risk and business partners to identify and manage risk
- Analyze data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics
- Provide analytical support for product strategic initiatives affecting multiple Risk functions and lines of business
- Participate in database production processes and performance reports for senior management using data mining and advanced analytical techniques
- Respond to complex ad-hoc information requests from internal and external parties
- Support cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues
- Monitor control outputs and investigate alerts from control checks
- Evaluate business processes, data flows, and operational data for integrity concerns, trends, anomalies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Partner with business, risk, finance, operations, technology, and audit stakeholders
- Leverage analytics, reporting, automation, AI-enabled tools, and quantitative techniques
- Develop reporting, dashboards, and visualizations communicating performance metrics, risks, trends, and opportunities
- Support governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
- Quickly assimilates new concepts, technologies, business processes, and organizational priorities
- Process-centric understanding of end-to-end workflows, inefficiencies, controls, and operational improvements
- Analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving techniques for complex data flows and risk identification
- Risk management principles and sound judgment for operational, process, compliance, and data-related risks
- Experience with data analytics, SQL, automation, AI, GenAI, process analysis, or related technologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Understanding of financial services, banking, risk management, operations, and governance
- Experience in regulated environments where data quality, risk management, controls, compliance, and operational resiliency are critical
