About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support data and technology requests, complex reporting and analysis, and modeling to manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses
  • Review and analyze portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics
  • Support development of databases or queries to extract data
  • Support production of data for internal and external reporting
  • Work with Technology to implement changes supporting ongoing data needs
  • Develop and execute reporting enabling Risk and business partners to identify and manage risk
  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives affecting multiple Risk functions and lines of business
  • Participate in development of database production processes and performance reports for senior management using data mining and advanced analytical techniques
  • Respond to complex ad-hoc information requests from internal and external parties
  • Support cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues
  • Monitor control outputs and investigate alerts from control checks
  • Evaluate business processes, data flows, and operational data to identify integrity concerns, trends, anomalies, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with business, risk, finance, operations, technology, and audit stakeholders on process evaluations, issue resolution, and improvement initiatives
  • Leverage analytics, reporting, automation, AI-enabled tools, and quantitative techniques
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, and visualizations communicating performance metrics, risks, trends, and opportunities
  • Support governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
  • Quickly assimilates new concepts, technologies, business processes, and organizational priorities
  • Applies a process-centric mindset to understand end-to-end workflows, identify inefficiencies, evaluate controls, and support operational improvements
  • Uses analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving techniques to evaluate complex data flows, identify risks, uncover insights, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Applies risk management principles and sound judgment to identify, assess, and mitigate operational, process, compliance, and data-related risks
  • Experience with data analytics, SQL, automation, AI, GenAI, process analysis, or related technologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Understanding of financial services, banking, risk management, operations, and governance
  • Experience operating in regulated environments where data quality, risk management, controls, compliance, and operational resiliency are critical
